Promoting of scientific and technological literacy in the Early Years from the children's book Vacinas

Resumo: It is agreed that Scientific and Technological Literacy has become an inherent purpose in the area of Science Teaching. In this sense, in this paper, our objective is to analyze the possible contributions of the children's book Vacinas to the promotion of Scientific and Technological Literacy of children in the early years of Elementary School. The work, published by the extension group MT Ciência, from the Universidade Federal do Mato Grosso, aims to disseminate scientific content, in a simple, objective and accessible way to the child audience regarding the importance of vaccines. Through a documentary analysis, based on the theories that support Scientific and Technological Literacy in Science Teaching in the early years, we built the methodological path. Thus, it was possible to infer as to the potential of the work to promote scientific and technological literacy in the first years of Basic Education, mainly taking into account the serious health crisis in Covid-19 as something concerning the reality of children.

En este sentido, en este texto, nuestro objetivo es analizar las posibles contribuciones del libro infantil Vacinas a la promoción de la Alfabetización Científica y Tecnológica de los niños en los primeros años de Educación Primaria. El trabajo, publicado por el grupo de extensión MT Ciência, de la Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso, tiene como objetivo difundir contenidos científicos, de manera sencilla, objetiva y accesible al público infantil sobre la importancia de las vacunas. A través de un análisis documental, basado en las teorías que sustentan la Alfabetización Científica y Tecnológica en la Enseñanza de las Ciencias en los primeros años, construimos el camino metodológico. Así, se pudo inferir sobre las potencialidades del trabajo para promover la alfabetización científica y tecnológica en los primeros años de Educación Básica, principalmente tomando en cuenta la grave crisis de salud en Covid-19 como algo concerniente a la realidad de los niños.É consensual que a Alfabetização Científica e Tecnológica tem se tornado uma finalidade inerente à área de Ensino de Ciências. Nesse sentido, no presente texto, nosso objetivo é analisar as possíveis contribuições do livro infantil Vacinas para a promoção da Alfabetização Científica e Tecnológica de crianças dos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental. A obra, publicizada pelo grupo de extensão MT Ciência, da Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso, tem por objetivo a divulgação de conteúdo científico, de forma simples, objetiva e acessível ao público infantil relativo à importância das vacinas. Por meio de uma análise documental, fundamentada nas teorias que sustentam a Alfabetização Científica e Tecnológica no Ensino de Ciências nos anos iniciais, construímos o percurso metodológico.
