The nursing process in the syllabus of technical nursing schools

Resumo: The nursing process, defined as a methodological instrument for caring, must be developed by every member of the nursing staff, so that it can be effective. The present article consists of a documental study aiming at examining the syllabus of pedagogic political projects of technical nursing schools in João Pessoa – PB as for the teaching and the nursing process application, the participation of these professionals is fundamentally important for the care system, function of the schools being to prepare them appropriately. The study was developed in the year 2006. The data were analyzed focusing the qualitative method, using the technique of content analysis. It was verified that there are no indications of the teaching of the nursing process in any discipline in the syllabus of the participant schools of the study, although there is indication of their application in few disciplines of some schools. So, it is a duty to the schools to revalue their syllabus, in way to insert this thematic to qualify better the nursing technicians to give systematized and qualified care.Key words: Nursing; Nursing Process; Education; Nursing, Associate.

El presente articulo consiste en un estudio documental que tuvo como objeto examinar la matriz curricular de Proyectos Políticos Pedagógicos de escuelas formadoras de técnicos de enfermería del municipio de João Pessoa-PB al respecto de la enseñanza y de la aplicación del proceso de enfermería, en vista de que la participación de estos profesionales es de fundamental importancia para la sistematización del cuidado, siendo la función de la escuela prepararlos adecuadamente. El estudio fue desarrollado el año 2006. Los datos fueron analizados con un enfoque en el método cualitativo, utilizando la técnica de análisis del contenido. Se constató que en las matrices curriculares de las escuelas participantes del estudio no hay indicios de la enseñanza del proceso de enfermería en ninguna materia, a pesar de que tenga aplicación en pocas materias de algunas escuelas. Por lo tanto, cabe a las escuelas revaluar sus matrices curriculares, de forma que se insiera está temática capacitando mejor a los técnicos de enfermería para rendir un cuidado sistemático y de cualidad.Palabras clave: Enfermería; Procesos de Enfermería; Graduación en Auxiliar de Enfermería.O processo de enfermagem, definido como instrumento metodológico do cuidar, deve ser desenvolvido por todos os membros da equipe de enfermagem, para que seja eficaz. O presente artigo consiste em um estudo documental que objetivou examinar a matriz curricular de Projetos Políticos Pedagógicos de escolas formadoras de técnicos de enfermagem do município de João Pessoa–PB quanto ao ensino e aplicação do processo de enfermagem, haja vista que a participação destes profissionais é de fundamental importância para a sistematização do cuidado, sendo função da escola prepara-los adequadamente. O estudo foi desenvolvido no ano de 2006. Os dados foram analisados com enfoque no método qualitativo, utilizando a técnica de análise de conteúdo. Constatou-se que nas matrizes curriculares das escolas participantes do estudo não há indícios do ensino do processo de enfermagem em nenhuma disciplina, embora haja de sua aplicação em poucas disciplinas de algumas escolas.
