DEVELOPMENT OF AN ONLINE ANTI-BULLYING INTERVENTION WITH TEACHERS IN SOUTHERN BRAZIL

Resumo: In the educational environment reports of students suff ering from violence caused by bullying are frequent. Bullying is defi ned as a type of intentional and repetitive violence without apparent reasons, and which can cause serious psychological, emotional and mental damage to those involved. This article aims to present a proposal for an online anti-bullying intervention, organized in a multicomponent format, with six weeklyand group meetings, average duration of two hours each based on the experiential methodology. The themes addressed are bullying conceptions, confl ict management, empathy, assertive communication, emotional self-control and self-care. Considering there is little training on school bullying for teachers in Brazil, this intervention was developed and applied to public school teachers in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre. During the meetings, the participants showed interest in the themes discussed, participated in the debatesand shared their experiences. It may be concluded the intervention can be replicated and has the potential to contribute to the awareness of teachers about the importance of establishing a harmonious atmosphere in the classroom, reinforcing positive relationships for the prevention of school bullying.

Este artículo tiene como objetivo presentar una propuesta de intervención en línea contra el acoso, organizada en formato multicomponente, con seis reuniones semanales y grupales con una duración media de dos horas basada en la metodología vivencial. Los temas abordados fueron: concepciones de acoso, manejo de conflictos, empatía, comunicación asertiva, autocontrol emocional y autocuidado. Considerando que hay poca formación para profesores en Brasil sobre el tema del acoso escolar, esa intervención fue desarrollada y aplicada a docentes de escuelas públicas en la región metropolitana de Porto Alegre. Durante las reuniones, los participantes mostraron interés en los temas abordados, participaron en los debates y compartieron sus experiencias. Se concluye que la intervención puede ser replicada y tiene el potencial de contribuir para la concientización de los docentes sobre la importancia de establecer un ambiente armonioso en el aula, reforzando las relaciones positivas para la prevención del acoso escolar.No ambiente educacional são frequentes os relatos de alunos que sofrem com a violência causada pelo bullying, que é definido como um tipo de violência intencional e repetitiva sem motivos aparentes e que pode causar sérios danos psicológicos, emocionais e mentais aos envolvidos. Este artigo tem por objetivo apresentar uma proposta de intervenção antibullying online, organizada no formato multicomponente, com seis encontros semanais e grupais com uma média de duração de duas horas a partir da metodologia experiencial. As temáticas trabalhadas são: concepções de bullying, gerenciamento de conflitos, empatia, comunicação assertiva, autocontrole emocional e autocuidado. Tendo em vista que são escassas as formações para professores no Brasil sobre o tema bullying escolar, esta intervenção foi desenvolvida e aplicada a professores de escolas públicas da região metropolitana de Porto Alegre. Os participantes demonstraram, durante os encontros, interesse pelos temas trabalhados, participaram dos debates e compartilharam suas experiências.
