This work sought to answer the following question: how does a school in the municipal education network in the city of Brasilândia/MS develop Specialized Educational Assistance? Its general objective was to analyze whether the AEE developed in a municipal school follows the guidelines of the National Policy for Special Education from the Perspective of Inclusive Education PNEEPEI (BRASIL, 2008). The research developed had a qualitative approach and the participants in this study were defined as one AEE teacher and two teachers from the common room. As a data collection instrument, a questionnaire was used and then a structured interview so that some points could be better clarified. Based on the results analyzed, it was possible to analyze that the service offered at this school could bring better results in the student's development if there was support, collaboration and partnership from the AEE teacher and the regular classroom, support provided for in PNEEPEI (BRASIL, 2008 ).
