Resumo: | Milk is in the spotlight among the six most important products in the Brazilian farming industry, standing in front of some traditional products such as coffee and rice. The agribusiness of milk and its derivatives and of great importance for the generation of jobs and the income of several producers, besides its importance in the Brazilian economy milk also has great nutritive value with great concentration of calcium that is essential for the formation and maintenance bone, its proteins are complete and provide the formation and maintenance of tissue. With the highlight of the milk in the agricultural market was seen the need for a better care with the animals, both in food and in the animal welfare issue, with the appearance of diseases was seen that it was necessary an immunization of the herd. One of the main diseases of concern to producers is the Brucella abortus disease that causes many economic and animal damages, such as abortion of the fetus. Vaccination became of paramount importance, thus keeping the animal protected against pathogens, the vaccine used in this case and the b-19 composed of live bacteria that has the role of immunizing the animal, due to that this work aims to verify if the brucellosis vaccine fulfills its role of immunization in the matter of release of superoxide desmutase causing no damage to the immune system and thus causing no cell damage, superoxide desmutase (SOD) is considered the first form of antioxidant defense as part of a mechanism defense that helps protect the enteric bacteria from oxygen toxicity. The amount of SOD released in two groups (cows vaccinated against Brucella abortus and a group of non-vaccinated cows against Brucella abortus) was then verified by colorimetric test, with the result that the release of SOD was not deferred in the two groups. |
