CONSTITUTION OF A DIALOGUE: student assistance at UFRN according to cognitive approache to public policies and critical discourse analysis

Resumo: This article presents the analysis of the discourse of eight beneficiaries of the student assistance policy implemented at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). It aims to carry out a dialogue between cognitive approaches to public policies (ACPP) and critical discourse analysis (ACD). The corpus of analysis comes from questionnaires distributed among undergraduate students assisted by the student assistance policy at UFRN during the second semester of 2021, through an electronic form that had four open and seven closed questions. This research, which aimed to analyze the experiences of these students with public policy, was submitted and approved by the ethics council and had the participation of six hundred and fifty (650) students. We consider, therefore, that the dialogue between the approaches seems to be fruitful because it can offer new theoretical perspectives and new concepts to complement, stimulate and expand the production of knowledge in the Brazilian educational field as they can contribute to the analysis of sectoral public policies.

Pretende llevar a cabo un diálogo entre los enfoques cognitivos de las políticas públicas (ACPP) y el análisis crítico del discurso (ACD). El corpus de análisis proviene de cuestionarios distribuidos entre estudiantes de pregrado atendidos por la política de atención al estudiante de la UFRN durante el segundo semestre de 2021, a través de un formulario electrónico que contó con cuatro preguntas abiertas y siete cerradas. Esta investigación, que tuvo como objetivo analizar las experiencias de estos estudiantes con la política pública, fue presentada y aprobada por el consejo de ética y contó con la participación de seiscientos cincuenta (650) estudiantes. Consideramos, por lo tanto, que el diálogo entre los enfoques parece ser fructífero porque puede ofrecer nuevas perspectivas teóricas y nuevos conceptos para complementar, estimular y ampliar la producción de conocimiento en el campo educativo brasileño, ya que pueden contribuir al análisis de los públicos sectoriales.Este artigo apresenta a análise do discurso de oito beneficiários da política de assistência estudantil executada na Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), por meio da tessitura de um diálogo entre as Abordagens Cognitivas de Políticas Públicas (ACPP) e a Análise Crítica do Discurso (ACD) realizada durante conferência proferida pelos autores para o Laboratório de Políticas Educacionais da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (Lape/UFRN). O corpus de análise é proveniente de questionários distribuídos entre os estudantes de graduação atendidos pela política de assistência estudantil na UFRN durante o segundo semestre de 2021 por meio de formulário eletrônico que contou com quatro perguntas abertas e sete fechadas. A referida pesquisa, que teve como objetivo analisar as experiências desses estudantes com a política pública, foi submetida e aprovada pelo conselho de ética e contou com a participação de 650 (seiscentos e cinquenta) discentes.
