Resumo: The article shows the growth in the possibilities of using digital technologies associated with the so-called “web 2.0”, among internet users. Discusses the relationship of this context with the technology-mediated education, particularly the Distance Learning (DL), noting that there is a paradoxical danger that the use of these new features enhance educational paradigms informational/reproductivist. However, it is argued that the reflexive use the possibilities that have emerged in the digital world can promote the construction of dialogue’s spaces in online education, giving a more sense communicative/constructivist in virtual education’s processes. Finally, note that, for this more positive scenario, it is also necessary that there be skills’s development by the participants (teachers and students) of educational activities in the digital environment.

Discute la relación de ese contexto con la educación mediada por tecnologías, en particular la Educación a Distancia (EAD), señalando que existe el paradoxal riesgo de que la utilización de esos nuevos recursos refuerce paradigmas educativos informacionais/reprodutivistas. Sin embargo, se argumenta que el uso reflexivo de las posibilidades que surgieron en el mundo digital puede promover la construcción de espacios de diálogo en la educación en línea, dando un sentido más comunicativo/construtivista a procesos de educación virtual. Por fin, se nota que, para este escenario más positivo, es necesario, también, que haya el desarrollo de cualificaciones por parte de los participantes (profesores y estudiantes) de las actividades educativas en el ámbito digital.O artigo evidencia o crescimento das possibilidades de uso de tecnologias digitais associadas à chamada “web 2.0”, entre os usuários da internet. Discute a relação desse contexto com a educação mediada por tecnologias, em particular a Educação a Distância (EAD), notando que existe o paradoxal risco de que a utilização desses novos recursos reforce paradigmas educativos informacionais/reprodutivistas. Entretanto, argumenta-se que o uso reflexivo das possibilidades que surgiram no mundo digital pode favorecer a construção de espaços de diálogos na educação on-line, dando um sentido mais comunicativo/construtivista a processos de educação virtual.
