CRÍTICA AO ETERNO FEMININO EM ANNE DE GREEN GABLES, DE LUCY MAUD MONTGOMERY: CRITICAL TO THE FEMALE ETERNAL IN ANNE OF GREEN GABLES, BY LUCY MAUD MONTGOMERY

RESUMO: O livro Anne de Green Gables, de autoria de Lucy Maud Montgomery, cuja publicação original se deu em 1908, é considerado um clássico da literatura juvenil mundial, com traduções para as mais diversas línguas e adaptações para o cinema. No Brasil, o primeiro lançamento foi em 1939, circunscrito em uma coleção de livros chamada Biblioteca das moças, que tinha como objetivo sedimentar os “bons costumes” e cristalizar uma visão frágil e reducionista da mulher, restrita apenas ao âmbito doméstico e/ou romantizado. Considerando, todavia, o caráter subversivo da protagonista Anne Shirley, essa produção literária destoa de muitos livros da coleção mencionada e direciona uma crítica perspicaz a uma sociedade marcadamente machista. Este trabalho, portanto, apresenta proposições quanto à quebra de expectativas de uma obra inserida em um contexto social, cujo primado estabelecia, e ainda estabelece, a manutenção e/ou constituição do comportamento da mulher vassalo aos dogmas patriarcais. Para tanto, o diálogo será erigido a partir das reflexões de Simone de Beauvoir em O segundo sexo: fatos e mitos (1970), especificamente na diatribe ao eterno feminino, a fim de se ponderar sobre uma obra literária que vai de encontro ao confinamento de mulheres à lógica da inferiorização. Eterno feminino.   ABSTRACT: The book Anne of Green Gables, authored by the Lucy Maud Montgomery, whose original publication was given in 1908, is considered a classic of world youth literature, with translations for the most diverse languages and adaptations for the cinema. In Brazil, the first release was in 1939, circumscribed in a collection of books called the Girls' Library, which aimed to seduce "good customs" and crystallize a fragile and reductionist view of women, restricted only to domestic and / or romanticized site. Considering, however, the subversive character of the protagonist Anne Shirley, this literary production differs from many books of the mentioned collection and directs an insightful critique of a strongly macho society. This paper, therefore, presents propositions regarding the breaking of expectations of a work inserted in a social context, whose primacy established, and still establishes, the maintenance and / or constitution of the woman's behavior vassal to patriarchal dogmas. In order to do so, the dialogue will be based on the reflections of Simone de Beauvoir in The second sex: facts and myths (1970), specifically in the diatribe to the feminine eternal, in order to consider a literary work that goes against the confinement of women to the logic of inferiorization.
