Resumo: The current study has as objective to problematize the increase of teens on Youth and Adult Education (Educação de Jovens e Adultos or EJA), relating this fact to legal and socio-pedagogical aspects. We start with reflection about the term Youth so we can avance to the discussion about the phenomenon of juvenilisation of the EJA students. The increase of teens on the said education modality has required new ways of thinking the curriculum and the teaching for that public and, even, the role of EJA on the educational structure. Such discussion demands a careful vision of the entire schooling process and it’s implications on the Juvenilisation of EJA. Against this scenary, we forward some considerations about the new demands on the teaching of Physical Education on EJA facing the changes discussed on the text.

Empezamos por la reflexión en torno de la definición del término joven para avanzar en la discusión acerca del fenómeno juvenilización del público de EJA. El aumento de adolescentes en la referida modalidad de enseñanza viene exigiendo nuevas formas de pensar el currículo y la enseñanza para este público y, incluso, el rol de la EJA en la estructura educacional. Tal discusión exige una mirada atenta hacia todo proceso de escolarización y sus implicaciones a la juvenilización de la EJA. En este escenario, encaminamos algunas consideraciones sobre las nuevas demandas en la enseñanza de la Educación Física en la EJA frente a los cambios discutidos a lo largo del texto.O presente estudo tem como objetivo problematizar o aumento do público adolescente na Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA), relacionando esse fato a aspectos legais e sociopedagógicos. Partimos da reflexão em torno da definição do termo jovem para avançarmos na discussão sobre o fenômeno de juvenilização do público da EJA.  O aumento de adolescentes na referida modalidade de ensino vem exigindo novas formas de pensar o currículo e o ensino para esse público e, até mesmo, o papel da EJA na estrutura educacional. Tal discussão exige um olhar atento para todo o processo de escolarização e suas implicações na juvenilização da EJA.
