Método: Trata-se de um estudo do tipo observacional e longitudinal. Participaram 20 indivíduos com idades entre 60 e 86 anos que foram divididos em dois grupos, controles (GC) e portadores da Doença de Parkinson (GDP). Ambos os grupos realizaram uma entrevista, avaliação de voz e fala, preenchimento do questionário índice da desvantagem vocal (IDV) e Avaliação perceptiva-auditiva da voz, além do rastreio cognitivo com o MoCA. O GDP foi submetido à terapia vocal intensiva por 30 dias e foi reavaliado após o término do tratamento. Resultados: Na fase pré-tratamento, o GDP se diferenciou dos controles nos aspectos de percepção da voz/fala, cognitivos, no IDV e na avaliação perceptivo-auditiva da voz. Na fase pós-tratamento houve aumento da intensidade vocal do GDP na tarefa de leitura em relação ao pré-tratamento. No pós-tratamento, o GDP se diferenciou dos controles no desempenho cognitivo geral e no IDV, além de apresentar uma melhora na avaliação perceptivo-auditiva da voz. Houve correlação entre o desempenho cognitivo do pré e pós-tratamento com a auto-percepção vocal. Conclusão: O GDP apresentou, na fase pré-tratamento, maior déficit nas habilidades visoespacial/executiva, de atenção e abstração, diferenciando-se dos controles no desempenho cognitivo geral. Na fase pós-tratamento, o GDP manteve a diferença em relação aos controles no desempenho cognitivo geral e habilidade visoespacial/executiva; foi identificada diferença no desempenho da habilidade de orientação entre os grupos nesta fase. O desempenho cognitivo geral se correlacionou com a autopercepção vocal.Purpose: to analyze the cognitive performance of elderly people with PD who underwent intensive vocal therapy. Methods: This is an observational and longitudinal study. The participants were 20 individuals aged 60 to 86 years who were divided into two groups, controls (CG) and Parkinson's disease (GDP). Both groups performed an interview, a voice and speech assessment, the completion of the vocal handicap index (IDV) questionnaire, and a auditory perceptual voice assessment, as well as a cognitive screening with MoCA. The GDP was submitted to an office intensive vocal therapy for 30 days and was reevaluated after amino acid treatment. Results: In the pretreatment phase, the GDP differentiates the controls in the aspects of speech/ speech perception, cognitive, without IDV and auditory perceptual assessment. In the post-treatment phase there was an increase in the vocal intensity of the GDP in the reading task compared to the pretreatment. Without posttreatment, GDP differentiated the controls on general cognitive performance and no IDV, and presented an improvement in the auditory perceptual assessment of the voice. There was a correlation between pre and post-treatment cognitive performance with automatic vocal perception. Conclusion: The GDP presented, in the pretreatment phase, the largest deficit in the visual/executive skills, attention and abstraction, differentiating the controls of general cognitive performance. In the post-treatment phase, the GDP maintained the difference in relation to the controls of general cognitive performance and visual/executive ability; A difference in the performance of the orientation skill was identified between the groups in this phase.
