Summary: | This paper presents the results of a research that aimed to understand the meanings attributed by the faculty of an early childhood education institution about the evaluative practices for learning mobilized in school quotidian. The research was qualitative and the method used was the ethnographic case study. The research participants were 24 teachers who work in an early childhood education institution in the city of Vila Velha/ES. Narratives, field diary and imagery records were adopted as documents. Data analysis signaled the sharing of a regulatory formative evaluative conception centered on the faculty, in order that the meaning produced through the evaluative practices is associated with the informative character of what happens in daily school life. |

A pesquisa teve caráter qualitativo e utilizou-se como método o estudo de caso etnográfico. Os participantes da pesquisa foram 24 professores que atuam numa instituição de educação infantil na cidade de Vila Velha/ES. Como documentos utilizou-se narrativas, diário de campo e registros imagéticos.
