Resumo: The use of plants in their various possibilities of usability has become widely popular in our society, enabling the practice of the cultural attire of our ancestors. The interest in cultivating medicinal species from vegetable gardens in schools is an additional option in the diversification of pedagogical activities, providing students with a different experience, and a vehicle for Environmental Education, taking advantage of changes in man's habits and attitudes and his relationship with others. the environment. The objective of the work is to encourage the construction of a mini medicinal garden in students' homes so that it contributes to the promotion of scientific and popular knowledge. The project was carried out in the morning classes of the 3rd year of the state school of basic education Costa Rêgo, located in the city of Arapiraca-AL, developed with an approach in the methodology of action research with a planned basis. With the residence of the medicinal garden produced in its students, it was possible for the students to have a larger project in the project, since those responsible for the garden for planting and the plant, had contact with the soil, updating the planting, sowing, care and at the same time developing an interest in the topic through the research carried out, that is, updating through research. Thus, environmental awareness of the insertion of the medicinal garden placed it in a feat of environmental education for the construction of values ​​and attitudes, providing a better relationship between man and nature, strengthening as a team, instituting citizens and pondering on the reflection and preservation of the environment. environment.

El proyecto se llevó a cabo en las clases de la mañana del 3º grado de la escuela estatal de educación básica Costa Rêgo, ubicada en la ciudad de Arapiraca-AL, desarrollado con un enfoque en la metodología de investigación acción con base cuantitativa. Con la huerta medicinal producida en sus casas se pudo observar que los estudiantes se involucraron más en el proyecto, ya que ellos se encargaron de sembrar y cultivar la huerta, donde tuvieron contacto directo con la tierra, aprendiendo a plantar, sembrar, cuidar y, al mismo tiempo, desarrollar el interés por el tema a través de la investigación realizada, es decir, aprender a través de la investigación. Así, la inserción del jardín medicinal como herramienta pedagógica se situó en una proeza de sensibilización para la construcción de valores y actitudes, propiciando una mejor relación entre el hombre y la naturaleza, fortaleciendo el trabajo en equipo, instituyendo el cuestionamiento ciudadano y la reflexión sobre el medio ambiente y el medio ambiente. reflexión de preservar el medio ambiente.A utilização de plantas em suas variadas possibilidades de usabilidade tornou-se amplamente popular em nossa sociedade, propiciando a prática dos costumes culturais de nossos antepassados. O trabalho tem como objetivo o incentivo a construção de mini horta medicinais nas residências dos alunos para que contribua com a promoção de saberes científicos e populares.O projeto foi realizado nas turmas do 3º ano matutino da escola estadual de educação básica Costa Rêgo, localizada na cidade de Arapiraca-AL, desenvolvida com abordagem na metodologia de pesquisa-ação com base quantitativa. Com a horta medicinal produzida em suas residências, foi possível observar nos estudantes um maior envolvimento no projeto, uma vez que eles estavam responsáveis pelo plantio e cultivo da horta, onde tiveram contato direto com o solo, aprendendo a plantar, semear, cuidar e ao mesmo tempo desenvolver um interesse pelo tema por meio das pesquisas realizadas, ou seja, aprendendo pela pesquisa.
