Resumo: ABSTRACT: School feeding programs emerge as one of the instruments capable of improving students' nutrition and food security. In addition, programs such as PNAE (National School Feeding Program) have strengthened family farming by preferring to purchase their products. In this sense, the present study aimed to outline a panorama of publications that bring experiences of the impacts of school feeding programs on the nutrition and food security of students and the socioeconomic gains of family farmers. Bibliometrics was used as a methodological instrument. Data collection took place in July 2020 and covered the production of scientific articles between the years 2005 and 2019. As a data source, a scan was carried out in the academic databases of Scielo, Scopus and Web of Science. To search for articles, a combination of the terms “National school feeding program” was used; “School meals and food and nutritional security”; “Family farming and adherence to school meals”. Such terms were also applied in the English language. Only theoretical-empirical scientific articles were considered. After a screening that excluded repeated articles and those that did not address the topic, 46 articles remained, which were analyzed in the present bibliometric study. There was a concentration of publications in a group of journals, which includes the precepts of the Bradford Law. As for productivity by author, Lotka's Law was not widely met, as there was a dispersion of production and of the total of 160 authors found in the research, only 19 authors have more than one publication on the subject. The most frequent words were Family Farming, PNAE and School Feeding. Regarding the methodological procedures, it was found that the qualitative approach was the most used. The theme of school feeding policies has scientific relevance, thus, the evaluation of the levels of these productions is valid. Keywords: Family farming; Bibliometry; PNAE.
