Metalinguistic Analysis of metaphorical expressions about writing process in graduate studies context

Resumo: | This paper aims to identify challenges with academic writing in graduate studies context based on the report and use of metaphorical expressions by young researchers about the process of writing a master's dissertation and doctoral thesis. It proposes reflections on topics related to the academic text writing, taking the student’s perspective as a guideline from practice and experience. This work contributes with an overview that aims to guide the teaching-learning practices of academic writing for professors and mentors. To do so, the metalinguistic analysis, anchored in the theoretical-philosophical perspective of Bakhtin and the Circle (BAKHTIN, 2002; 2011; VOLÓCHINOV, 2017; 2019), is used in the study of concrete utterances. The socio-historical factor as constitutive of academic literate practices (LEA; STREET, 1998) also constitutes the analytical core. The selected reports, which are part of the qualitatively analyzed data in a doctoral thesis (BRAMBILA, 2021), are recognized as concrete statements composed of ideological signs that reflect and refract reality. |

Propone reflexiones sobre temas relacionados con la producción de textos académicos tomando como guía la perspectiva del estudiante desde la práctica y la experiencia. Este trabajo contribuye a un panorama que tiene como objetivo orientar las prácticas de enseñanza-aprendizaje de la escritura académica para profesores y asesores. Con este fin, el análisis metalingüístico, anclado en la perspectiva teórico-filosófica de Bajtín y el Círculo (BAKHTIN, 2002; 2011; Volochinov, 2017; 2019), se utiliza en el estudio de declaraciones concretas. El factor socio-histórico como constitutivo de las prácticas académicas alfabetizadas (LEA; STREET, 1998) también compone la protuberancia analítica. Los informes seleccionados, que forman parte de los datos analizados cualitativamente en una tesis doctoral (BRAMBILA, 2021), son reconocidos como declaraciones concretas compuestas por signos ideológicos que reflejan y refractan la realidad.Este artigo tem o objetivo de localizar desafios com a escrita acadêmica na pós-graduação a partir do relato e do uso de expressões metafóricas de pesquisadoras em formação sobre o processo da escrita da dissertação de mestrado e da tese de doutorado. Propõe reflexões sobre tópicos referentes à produção de textos acadêmicos tomando a perspectiva discente como norteamento a partir da prática e experiência. Este trabalho contribui com um panorama que visa guiar as práticas de ensino-aprendizado de escrita acadêmica para professores e orientadores. Para tal, a análise metalinguística, ancorada na perspectiva teórico-filosófica de Bakhtin e o Círculo (BAKHTIN, 2002; 2011; VOLÓCHINOV, 2017; 2019), é utilizada no estudo dos enunciados concretos. O fator sócio-histórico como constitutivo das práticas letradas acadêmicas (LEA; STREET, 1998) também compõe o bojo analítico.
