Resumo: Brazil is a country with one of the largest faunas in the world, including different species of primates. However, little research is being done in the field of wildlife medicine, including morphology and anesthesiology. In order to contribute to the basic knowledge about anatomical aspects of Sapajus nigritus and AIouatta sp, this study aimed to describe the presence and location of the main cranial foramina in Sapajus nigritus and Alouatta sp. In this study, two skulls, one of each species (Sapajus nigritus and Alouatta sp), of both male and adult animals were used. After dissection and maceration, the skulls were cleared and dried. The skulls were photodocumented in different projections to identify the cranial foramina. The infraorbital, magno, zygomatic, mental and mandibular foramina were identified. The location and function of the foramina, in the species, are the same as the domestic mammals and in human.
