The schoolbook and its influence on the training of the students of the basic education of public schools

Resumo: The role that the textbook plays on teaching and learning in basic education students is very intense and notorious. Due to this influence of this didactic material on our Young people, it becomes urgent to verify the importance they cause in the formation of the students, since the book as a commodity and reproducer of discursive ideologies reinforce stereotypes and the denial of cultures and the exacerbation of others. This trend of appreciation of the hegemonic culture can be seen mainly through the books of geography. The teacher should use the textbook as another teaching aid, always trying to diversify the didactic materials, valuing the books that work the local aspects of each municipality, since books with situations closer to the students, strengthen local identities, thus identifying with the place and thus awakening sensations and feelings of familiarity. The teacher of geography as a facilitator of learning in the teaching-learning process plays a fundamental role, since he is the one who ultimately chooses the book that will work in the public school classrooms. Critical students and questioners of reality can only promote political action if they are stimulated to awaken the questioning side through their student training and the textbook is part of a larger composition in the formation of the students.

Debido a esa influencia de ese material didáctico en nuestros jóvenes, se vuelve urgente verificar la importancia que los mismos ocasionan en la formación de los alumnos, una vez que el libro como mercancía y reproductor de ideologías discursivas, refuerza estereotipos y la negación de cultivos y la exacerbación de otras. Se percibe esta tendencia de valorización de la cultura hegemónica a través principalmente de los libros de geografía. el profesor debe usar el libro didáctico como un soporte de enseñanza, siempre intentando diversificar los materiales didácticos, valorizando los libros que trabajen los aspectos contextualizados de cada municipio, ya que los libros con situaciones más cercanas a los alumnos fortalecen las identidades locales, identificándose por lo tanto, con el lugar y despertando así sensaciones y sentimientos de familiaridad. El docente de geografía como facilitador del aprendizaje en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje tiene un papel fundamental, ya que él es quien en última instancia escoge el libro que va a trabajar en las aulas de las escuelas públicas. Los alumnos críticos y cuestionadores de la realidad sólo pueden promover una acción política si se estimulan a despertar el lado cuestionador a través de su formación estudiantil y el libro didáctico forma parte de una composición mayor en la formación de los alumnos.Esse artigo tem como objetivo dissertar sobre a influência que o livro didático de geografia exerce sobre a formação dos alunos de escola pública brasileira, pois o papel que  esse material didático exerce sobre o ensino e a aprendizagem nos alunos da educação básica é muito intenso e notório. Devido a essa influência desse material didático em nossos jovens, torna-se urgente verificar a importância que os mesmos ocasionam na formação dos alunos, uma vez que o livro como mercadoria e reprodutor de ideologias discursivas, reforça estereótipos e a negação de culturas e a exacerbação de outras. Percebe-se essa tendência de valorização da cultura hegemônicas através principalmente dos livros de geografia. o professor deve usar o livro didático como mais um suporte de ensino, sempre tentando diversificar os materiais didáticos, valorizando os livros que trabalhem os aspectos contextualizados de cada município, uma vez que livros com situações mais próximas dos alunos fortalecem as identidades locais, se identificando, portanto, com o lugar e despertando assim sensações e sentimentos de familiaridade. O docente de geografia como facilitador da aprendizagem no processo de ensino-aprendizagem tem papel fundamental, uma vez que ele é quem em última instância escolhe o livro que vai trabalhar nas salas de aula das escolas públicas.
