Resumo: | Objective: To describe the nutritional status, food consumption and socioeconomic factors of preschoolers in a daycare center. Methodology: An observational, transversal and descriptive study of the quantitative type was carried. The sample consisted of 108 preschoolers aged 2 to 5 years. Food consumption, nutritional status and socioeconomic conditions were evaluated. For this, were applied Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) and a questionnaire on socioeconomic conditions. To evaluate the nutritional status. Result: Were observed that the majority were of the brown / black race, the person in charge has complete secondary education and income of 1 to 2 minimum wages. In relation to the nutritional status, the majority were classified with eutrophic in all indices evaluated. Verified satisfactory food consumption of fruits, rice and beans. Low consumption of vegetables and moderate consumption of sweetened drinks and fast foods. Conclusion: The combination between of the three factors indicates that low income families are having access to marker food of healthy eating, which favors the good health of this group. |

Metodología: Estudio observacional, transversal y descriptivo del tipo cuantitativo. La muestra fue constituida por 108 preescolares de 2 a 5 años. Se evaluó el consumo alimentario, el estado nutricional y las condiciones socioeconómicas. Los instrumentos fueron: Cuestionario de Frecuencia Alimentaria (QFA), cuestionario socioeconómico y medidas antropométricas. Resultado: La mayoría era de laraza parda / negra, elresponsableposeeeducación media completa y renta de 1 a 2 salarios mínimos. Encuanto al estado nutricional, la mayoría se clasificó con eutrofia. Verificado consumo alimentario satisfactorio de frutas, arroz y frijoles. Bajo consumo de verduras y consumo moderado de bebidas endulzadas y fast foods. Conclusión: Los três factores indican que las familias de bajos ingresos tienen acceso a los alimentos marcadores de una alimentación sana lo que favorece el buen estado de salud de ese grupo.Objetivo: Descrever o estado nutricional, o consumo alimentar e os fatores socioeconômicos de pré-escolares de uma creche. Metodologia: Estudo observacional, transversal e descritivo do tipo quantitativo. A amostra foi constituída por 108 pré-escolares de 2 a 5 anos. Foram avaliados o consumo alimentar, o estado nutricional e as condições socioeconômicas. Os instrumentos foram: Questionário de Frequência Alimentar (QFA), questionário socioeconômico e medidas antropométricas. Resultado: A maioria era da raça parda/negra, o responsável possui ensino médio completo e renda de 1 a 2 salários mínimos. Em relação ao estado nutricional, a maioria foi classificada com eutrofia. Verificado consumo alimentar satisfatório de frutas, arroz e feijão. Baixo consumo de verduras e consumo moderado de bebidas adoçadas e fast foods.
