Resumo: | The objective of this research is to identify the conditions of the demand and factors in the exportation melting activity of the State of Rio Grande do Norte. For that, a multi-case study was developed, using the interview for data collection and ATLAS.ti 8.0 for the treatment process. As for the demand, it was verified that the clients impel the organizations to innovate in a fast pace, to produce products of quality and with greater added value. As for the factors, it was identified that the region has favorable natural resources; has a skilled workforce; as well as that the industry enjoys appropriate technology. |

Para ello, se desarrolló un estudio multicaso, se utilizó la entrevista para recolección de los datos y del ATLAS.ti 8.0 para el proceso de tratamiento. En cuanto a la demanda, se constató que los clientes impulsan a las organizaciones a innovar a ritmo acelerado, producir productos de calidad y con mayor valor agregado. En cuanto a los factores, se identificó que la región dispone de recursos naturales favorables; tiene una mano de obra cualificada; así como que el sector disfrute de la tecnología apropiada.O objetivo desta pesquisa é identificar as condições da demanda e de fatores na atividade meloeira exportadora do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte. Para tanto, desenvolveu-se um estudo multicaso, tendo a entrevista como instrumento de coleta de dados e o ATLAS.ti 8.0 como recurso para a sistematização do corpus. Quanto à demanda, constatou-se que os clientes impulsionam as organizações a inovarem em ritmo acelerado, produzirem produtos de qualidade e com maior valor agregado.
