A Lei Laguna Sustentável: um estudo sobre sua efetividade e adesão pelos munícipes

In view of the problems arising from the modernization of society and the concern about the lack of natural resources in the near future, the sustainability theme has become something recurring. Sustainable measures are being increasingly incorporated by people and government department. In Santa Catarina, for example, many municipalities are implementing laws that encourage the population to adopt such measures, such as the municipality of Laguna that adopted Ordinary Law number 2.086 in June of 2019 called Laguna Sustentável. This Law grants discounts on the IPTU of owners who practice the sustainable measures described in the program, valid for 5 years, these discounts may reach 20% cumulatively of the total collection and if the only family, property prove an income of a maximum of 2 national minimum wages, per capita, the discount may reach 35%. This work aims to study the effectiveness of the Laguna Sustentável Law in the municipality. As it is a recente Law, there was a need to do an electronic search via Google Docs to find out the number of people who have already joined the Program and their respective knowledge regarding the Law. In addition to the research that already serves as a dissemination tool for people, a website prototype was created in order to be linked to the Laguna City Hall website that will serve as an alternative to make the digital registration of the Program’s sustainable measures. The website also contains all necessary and informative information for the Law and the measures required in the Program.
