Resumo: The environmental issue is a subject that has been taking forward in recent years, with the concern of the population in maintaining the environment a preserved place, it emerges every day new technologies that can contribute to this happening. Light Wood frame and Light Steel frame construction systems enable this issue to be maintained, where its applicability is made through sustainable materials and there is no waste of materials, as well as a significant reduction of pollutants. This monograph has the main objective of describing the characteristics of the Light Steel frame and Light Wood frame construction methods, making a comparison between the two systems. The study develops from a bibliographical survey supported by the case study method, where it was possible to compare which of the two systems would be more advantageous economically in construction. Faced with the results obtained, for a constructed area of 60, roadway above ², the most viable method is Light Wood Frame, resulting in a smaller expense relative to the other method.

Os sistemas de construção Light Wood Frame e Light Steel Frame possibilitam que essa questão seja resolvida, onde a sua aplicabilidade é feita através de materiais sustentáveis e não gerando desperdícios, bem como uma redução significativa de poluentes e baixa utilização de água. Esta monografia possui como objetivo principal descrever as características dos métodos construtivos Light Steel Frame e Light Wood Frame, fazendo um comparativo entre os dois sistemas. O estudo se desenvolve a partir de um levantamento bibliográfico amparado pelo método estudo de caso, onde pôde-se comparar qual dos dois sistemas seria mais vantajoso economicamente na construção.
