Small cities educational system, according to analysis from Antonio Carlos’ Secretary, is currently facing structural, didatic, administrative, pedagogical, management, and control problems, among others. Around this research problems is justified the development of an information system able to make more efficient and effective the domain of information, arrange, systematization, registration and documentation of the work from school units. Indeed, it has as general objective the development of a support system for the education departments and schools within their responsibility. For this, it has been used the software as a service (SaaS) model which is a new way to deliver software over the internet, exempting thus the Secretary of the entire structure needed to keep a system running. About the methodology and procedures used to collect and analyze the data, it represent the study of the routes to be followed to carry out scientific research, and the use of the techniques proposed by the methodology to be responsible for the achievement of authentic results of the research. The modeling of the system proposed here relies on ICONIX methodology, which uses the UML diagrams as basis and is seen by many as a simple and efficient methodology in software development and as the dynamics of ICONIX suggests, this development is based the object-oriented paradigm. Therefore, the modeling of the proposed system is presented, followed by visual demonstration of the final product, with a description of its most important issues. On the last, it is shown how the assessment was made in the real environment of a Secretariat in order to verify whether the system met, in fact, the functional requirements, non-functional and explicit business rules, along with reporting by users on using the designed system and improvement suggestions for future work.
