This mandatory internship report aims to develop a biodegradable disinfectant for a sanitist industry in Santa Catarina. This research and development aims to improve and formulate products that are being marketed to adapt this to the consumer market's needs at the moment. That is, the search for improvement of products always seeks to adapt the parameters established by the consumer market, company and supervisory group. In the course of this work will be described the environmental relevance for the choice of biodegradable disinfectant, showing and explaining the functions of the main raw materials, the methodology of preparation as well as the results obtained with this study. Through several manipulations, different ingredients were selected or discarded until reaching the formulation that was proposed in this study, chosen from the results obtained from the characterization tests such as pH, viscosity, density and stability. After stipulating which formula was closest to the desired parameters, samples were sent to an accredited laboratory for quantitative tests to determine the concentration of the active ingredient of the oxidizing agent and pH, as well as to prove that the product actually disinfects smooth and porous media. Therefore, this work has as main objective to develop a biodegradable disinfectant that is able to be approved by the inspection body ANVISA - National Health Surveillance Agency, and later to be commercialized.
