Atuação da Fisioterapia Dermatofuncional no pós-operatório de cirurgias bariátricas

Introduction: Obesity has shown great growth in recent years, and with this, the search for the correction of dysfunctions left by it. Physiotherapy can assist in the prevention and treatment of skin disorders. Objective: Objective: The study proposed a bibliographic review in order to identify the therapeutic possibilities within Dermatofunctional Physiotherapy in the treatment of patients after weight loss due to bariatric surgery. Methods: 15 articles were analyzed, available in the virtual databases Science Direct, PEDro, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Scielo, Google Scholar and PUBMED, two references were used base sites (WHO and ABESO) and in four books recruited from the collection the university library. Discussion: The authors agree with each other about the importance of treatment in the sequelae of weight loss, where treatments for flaccidity, stretch marks, breast ptosis, scars and post-operative plastic surgery treatments were found. They recommend manual and electrotherapeutic treatments, such as lymphatic drainage, radiofrequency, microcurrents, endermology, ultrasound and others. Conclusion: the articles confirmed that Dermatofunctional Physiotherapy plays a fundamental role in these patients, since in addition to health, they also seek body aesthetics. The main objective in these patients is to restore functional capacity and improve the unsightly consequences left by obesity and weight loss.
