Throughout history, society has been constantly changing. In this way, we can see the increasing performance of women in the labor market. There are women working in many occupations, including those traditionally seen as masculine, such as the aeronautical market. The present study aims to understand how the evolution of women's participation in the labor market occurred and, more specifically, how this presence occurred in aviation, a labor market considered mainly male. It is therefore important to understand the process by which this insertion of women into the labor market dominated by men was given. Despite the advance already perceived today, the presence of women is still small in the command of aircraft, although in the function of flight attendant the female presence is dominant. This research is characterized as exploratory, with bibliographic and documentary procedure through books, articles, reports, regulations and laws. The approach used was qualitative and quantitative, through a theoretical basis, analysis of charts and tables. In general, it has been observed that women have been increasingly present in this professional field. According to ANAC data, there was a significant increase in the participation of women, both in aircraft and helicopter pilot positions, as well as in aircraft mechanic and flight dispatch positions. Although their participation is still very small, this increase is extremely important to break the cultural prejudices. The greater the participation of women in this sector, the greater the interest of new women in joining aviation.
