Resumo: This research aimed to understand the human factors that contribute to the occurrence of aeronautical accidents and incidents resulting from remote failures. It is characterized as an exploratory research with bibliographic and documentary procedure through books, articles, reports, regulations and laws. The approach used was qualitative. Data analysis was performed by comparing data and characteristics of reality, present and past, analyzed according to the theoretical foundation. It has been observed from research that crews in most cases follow procedures in a disciplined manner until the time of the breakdown. But in remote failures, CRM is not conserved. Lack of knowledge and training of the crash results in delayed emergency response, lack of standards, and confusion about the nature of the crash, leading to inappropriate procedures for the actual emergency. It was clear that the success or failure of the crew in the emergence of remote and unlikely failures relies almost exclusively on the experience and practical experience gained by each crew member, than on the trained procedures. The few trainings available to the crews do not show the actual behavior of the aircraft in the event of a remote failure. The touch and rush procedures provided for in the operations manuals of the crashed aircraft proved to be inefficient from the practical point of view, since it does not consider the remaining runway length after the failure has been detected and the stopping limits cannot be stopped. Finally, it was suggested that a generic program be developed that should support decision making in the occurrences. At the end of the research, it is concluded that ignorance and non-standardization of remote failures make human factors a major source of contribution to the occurrence of aeronautical accidents and incidents in the emergence of remote or unprecedented failures.
