As cities evolve, new areas are explored and occupied, new real estate trends emerge, causing a natural internal migration in the occupational flows of spaces. With the occupation of new spaces and the construction of new centralities, sometimes, others become less frequented, some end up being devalued, which can trigger a process of lack of maintenance, creation of unused areas, without appropriation and without investments. The present work has as general objective to elaborate an urban rehabilitation project in the area of ​​Parque Francisco Dias Velho, in the central region of Florianópolis. Proposing a design in the system of free spaces and road layout. Thus promoting the occupation of public spaces, aiming at the use of the territory, activating the economic, political and social aspects and proposing new uses in buildings neighboring the area, preventing the park from losing characteristics of public space. The rehabilitation of space through this rescue of use as a public leisure space, reinforces the initial proposal of the Landfill of Baía Sul, of an area destined for political use, recreation and leisure areas. The stitching of the historic center is highlighted, integrating it with the waterfront and redesigning the urban landscape of the city entrance.
