Resumo: The right to donate or to acquire property is widely known to the population and protected by law; but the freedom to dispose of one's own body; or, failing which, as is the case with unclaimed bodies - despite the legislation - may have characteristics that are not yet covered by the current norms or at least not of common use. The purpose of this monograph is to seek in Law 8.501 / 92 the possibilities of donating bodies; their destination; the possibility of characterizing the crime of vilification; show the practices that clash customs; and, the friction between science and religion. Thus elucidating many of the doubts that hang over many people. The level was: exploratory. Approach, qualitative, since the doctrines, legislation, scientific articles, legal periodicals and specifically Law No. 8,501, of November 30, 1992, were analyzed in an inductive and subjective way, thus bringing answers to the problem that involves the research. Regarding the procedure, it is classified as a bibliography once it has been analyzed, doctrines, legislations, periodicals, scientific articles, and, documentary, since Law No. 8.501 / 92 was analyzed in a specific way.

O objetivo desta Monografia é buscar na Lei nº 8.501/92 as possibilidades de doação de corpos; a destinação dos mesmos; a possibilidade de caracterização do crime de vilipêndio; mostrar as práticas que chocam os costumes; e, o atrito entre ciência e religião. Elucidando, assim, muitas das dúvidas que pairam sobre muitas pessoas. Foi utilizado, quanto ao nível: exploratória. Abordagem, qualitativa, uma vez que foram analisadas de forma indutiva e subjetiva as doutrinas, legislação, artigos científicos, periódicos jurídicos e especificamente a Lei n° 8.501, de 30 de novembro de 1992, trazendo assim, respostas do problema que envolve a pesquisa.
