Resumo: The timber industrial activity in the city of Santa Rosa de Lima is getting attention for being one of the greatest sources of work in the city. However, there is a great potential for work related accidents. This study’s goal is to identify and assess the risks associated to the Occupational Safety and Health – OSH, existing during the activity of cutting and manufacturing of timber in a small industry in the city. In order to reach the proposed goals, a flowchart analysis of the process was performed, in the flowchart were described the main risks that the work presented to the workers involved. Afterwards, a risk assessment and identified hazards matrix was elaborated, inputting values and lastly proposing enhancements to the process from the results obtained in this research.

Porém, existe um grande potencial de acidentes de trabalho aos seus colaboradores. Este estudo tem como objetivo de identificar e avaliar os riscos associados à Segurança e Saúde Ocupacional - SSO, existentes durante a atividade de corte e beneficiamento de madeira em uma indústria de pequeno porte, localizada nesse município. Para alcançar-se os objetivos propostos, analisou-se o fluxograma do processo, onde descreveu-se os principais perigos e riscos aos trabalhadores envolvidos.
