Resumo: This dissertation aims to present a vision of occupational accidents in the electrical power system of Santa Catarina in the period 2009-2017, through an observational, descriptive ecological study, with data search in Social Security (INSS) databases and National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL), whith a bibliographic research with the synthesis of the main aspects of health, safety and work process of the eletrical sector. The results obtained by studying the distribution of data by organization type, reason and situation, time evolution of interest rates and occupational mortality in the period 2009-2018 indicated a downward trend in the part of the study period, and a new growth trend in the last years. The inconsistency found between the numbers recorded by ANEEL and data from the INSS can be explainded by the enlargement of outsourcing workers in the Social Security statistics, which aggregates the data by CNAE code.

The inconsistency found between the numbers recorded by ANEEL and data from the INSS can be explainded by the enlargement of outsourcing workers in the Social Security statistics, which aggregates the data by CNAE code.Esta dissertação tem como objetivo apresentar um panorama dos acidentes de trabalho no setor de distribuição de energia elétrica em Santa Catarina no período 2009-2017, por meio de um estudo observacional de tipo ecológico, descritivo, com pesquisa de dados secundários em bancos de dados de acidentes de trabalho da Previdência Social e da Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica, e pesquisa bibliográfica com síntese dos principais aspectos da saúde, segurança e processo de trabalho do setor. Os resultados obtidos a partir do estudo da distribuição de acidentes por tipo de empresa, motivo/situação, consequência e evolução temporal das taxas de incidência e mortalidade ocupacional no período 2009-2018 indicaram tendência de queda em parte do período avaliado, e nova tendência de crescimento nos últimos anos.
