Resumo: | The use of electric energy in our lives nowadays is starting to grow, as society evolves and with it our technologies as well. Nonrenewable energy, especially the ones provided by fossil fuels, have been used a lot for a very long time. Analyzing from the economic perspective, it’s necessary to emphasize how important the energy generation market is for the economy of the countries. Trying to find alternative ways of electric energy generation, the Wind Power stands out, as it’s a clean way to produce energy and it’s been growing a lot in the Brazilian market. The focus of this work, is to analyze the economic and technical viability to supply all the demand of electric energy in the city of Tubarão, Santa Catarina, with a population estimated of 104.547 habitants, by implanting a Wind Power Park. In this work, was used consecrated bibliographic methods, and technical visits as well, to analyze the ideal location to implant the park, and it’s economic viability. It was calculated the annual energy power generated, using as base the region specific data, to define how many Wind Power towers, would be needed. Utilizing the methods Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and payback, it was possible to analyze the economic viability. With the results, it was verified that the project is viable and attractive, as the NPV is positive, the IRR is bigger than the Minimum Acceptable Rate of Return (MARR) and the payback would in 3,88 years, being that considerably less time than the lifespan of the project, that would be of 20 Years. |

Energias não renováveis, principalmente a provinda de combustível fóssil são utilizadas bruscamente a muito tempo. Ao analisar da perspectiva econômica, faz-se, também, necessário ressaltar a representativa influencia que o mercado de geração de energia elétrica tem sobre a economia de um país. Buscando métodos alternativos para geração de energia elétrica, a energia eólica destacas-se por ser uma energia sustentável e estar crescendo no mercado Brasileiro. Com isso, este trabalho analisa a viabilidade econômica e técnica para suprir a demanda energética da cidade de Tubarão, Santa Catarina, com uma população estimada em 104.457 habitantes, por meio da implantação de um parque eólico. Foram utilizados métodos de bibliografias consagradas e visita técnica para analisar o local ideal para implantação do parque e sua viabilidade econômica. Calculou-se a potência anual gerada com base nos dados específicos da região para definir quantas torres eólicas seriam necessárias. Utilizando os métodos do Valor Presente Líquido (VPL), Taxa Interna de Retorno (TIR) e Payback, foi possível analisar a viabilidade econômica.
