The objective of this Course Conclusion Work was to analyze the trajectory of the equestrian events with the running of cattle until they gained constitutional status. Regarding the methodology, the present study consists of an exploratory research of a legal-theoretical character, with a qualitative approach. With regard to nature, it is classified as bibliographic and documentary research. The data collection was made from legal sources, such as legislation, articles and jurisprudence, also in other references that were related to the subject treated. The research shows that equestrian events with bovine race gained constitutional status, after the Supreme Federal Court declared the unconstitutionality of a regulatory law for the race called vaquejada, promulgated by the state of Ceará. Also, from the analysis, it was possible to conclude that these events led to disagreement between the population itself and the legislative and judicial powers. In addition, the constitutional status at stake did not take place in a peaceful and unanimous manner, and it can be mentioned that its future is uncertain, given that there are still pending issues to be resolved.
