Resumo: The objective of this research was to understand and analyze the contributing human factors related to aeronautical accidents. In order to achieve this objective was developed a descriptive research with bibliographical and documentary procedure. It was a qualitative approach, observing data and publications of civil aviation regulatory agencies, such as ANAC (National Civil Aviation Agency), FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) and CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) and CENIPA (Aeronautical Accident Investigation and Prevention Center). In relation to the research results, it can be said that the programs recommended by ICAO, such as SMS, adopted by civil aviation regulatory agencies should be followed and respected, because with the current programs it is possible to predict risks at all organizational levels of companies and with continuing improvement processes tent to increase operational safety levels more and more, in a satisfactory manner, the risks associated with human factors.

Para atingir esse objetivo, desenvolveuse uma pesquisa descritiva com procedimento bibliográfico e documental. Quanto à abordagem, trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa. Foram observados dados e publicações de órgãos reguladores de aviação civil, como a ANAC (Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil), FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) e CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) e do CENIPA (Centro de Investigação e Prevenção de Acidentes Aeronáuticos).
