Resumo: Fire prevention for the preservation of historical heritage through interventions and maintenance of fire risks and forms of protection, are important not only to historical patrimony as the safeguard of human beings. Existing regulations regarding fire safety in Brazil generally apply to new buildings and not to existing buildings, let alone a listed property. For this, the project of an existing building listed as Historic Patrimony of Santa Catarina, located in the municipality of Lages, SC, is presented for discussion.
