Resumo: Fire protection is of great importance in the construction of a building, in order to protect, mainly, the population and the patrimony. The installation of all methods of prevention and fire fighting in force in laws is essential, not taking place negligence in favor of aesthetics and cost savings, as their lack can lead to irreparable losses. In order for the building to have effective security, in addition to the protection systems required by the Santa Catarina Military Fire Brigade (CBMSC), a series of measures are necessary to be followed in designing the project and during construction of the building. This work aims at analyzing an existing residential building located in the region of Florianopolis, elaborating a roadmap for verification of the protection and fire prevention systems already in place in the building. Through the analysis made by the authors, the building, classified as light risk, complies with the standards in force in the Santa Catarina Military Fire Brigade and presents measures taken in the design of the project, ensuring the safety of the building.

A instalação de todos os métodos de prevenção e combate contra incêndio vigentes em leis é essencial, não ocorrendo negligências em favor da estética e economia de custos, pois sua falta pode acarretar em perdas irreparáveis. Para que o prédio tenha uma segurança efetiva, além dos sistemas de proteção exigidos pelo Corpo de Bombeiros Militar de Santa Catarina (CBMSC), é necessária uma série de medidas a serem seguidas na concepção do projeto e durante a construção da edificação. Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar uma edificação residencial já existente localizada na região de Florianópolis, elaborando um roteiro para verificação dos sistemas de proteção e prevenção contra incêndio já implantados no edifício.
