O trabalho docente no ensino médio no estado de Santa Catarina: embates, desafios e possibilidades à valorização dos professores

The objective of this research is to understand the obstacles, challenges and opportunities for the enhancement of education professionals brought by the educational public policies related to the initial and continuing education and high school teachers' working conditions in state schools in the state of Santa Catarina. Held a brief immersion movement in the history of legal systems, which point to a Brazilian quality education as everyone's right and duty of the State, as the appreciation of education professionals is also elucidated as an important element considering the teacher as one of the important subjects in the educational process. educational indicators were analyzed through microdata School Census of Basic Education, provided by the National Institute of Educational Studies Teixeira, related to the initial and continuing education and working conditions of teachers in state schools of education East Santa Catarina, comparing with the data in Brazil. The context presented, through the analysis, points to great challenges and raises the value of high school professionals. Suggests overcome the shortage of trained and active teachers in middle school in Brazil and in Santa Catarina. It also shows the importance of teachers to work in a single school in two shifts, with the number of classes and students consistent with the universalization of secondary education with social quality. The study points out the limits to the valuation of high school teachers in Santa Catarina state schools and the possibilities contained in Law 13,005 / 2014 related to the middle school and the appreciation of teachers. And suggests the realization of your goals as a necessary condition for the universalization of secondary education, understood as a social and subjective right of all young people.
