On the demand for new constructive techniques, in order to improve the rationalization, productivity and waste reduction, civil construction has shown an interest in using alternative methods to conventional ones, thus contributing, sustainability and social scope. In this context, the Steel Frame (SF) Modular Construction is an alternative available to numerous existing building systems. This method, consists of a dry-built system, through modules and from the use of galvanized steel profiles in its structure, and can be sealed with various types of closure panels. Another important feature of this system, is that all its constructive process happens in factory environment and then ready to be transported to the site of deployment. Thus, the present study, through a bibliographical survey and case study, has as main objective to analyze the feasibility of implantation of a module in SF to serve as operational base of the Military Police of Laguna/SC, during the Summer Operations of the city, reconciling the social need with the civil construction. This feasibility analysis was carried out with those interested in the proposal, through the application of a questionnaire indicating the modeling and costs of the module, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the modular building system in SF. Among the results obtained, 85,7% of the interested parties reported that the idea fulfilled expectations regarding technical terms, and 89,3% are in behalf of the implementation of the module to serve as an operational base, if the Institution has financial resources for the investment. Despite the high rate of utilization of the proposal, some improvements have been suggested by stakeholders, such as: increased visibility of the base with more glass frames; creation of new partitions and improvements in the aesthetic characterization of the module.
