The environmental awareness society growth, the concern with aspects related to human health and the increasing demands of the environmental agencies motivates the search for solutions and tools for the management and recovery of contaminated sites. Human health risk assessment is an important step in the process of managing contaminated sites. In this step the probability of adverse human health effects due to exposure from hazardous chemicals are determined. In environmental remediation of contaminated sites, the establishment of control measures, blocking contaminants exposure ways, is one of the manners to reduce the risk which the contaminated site worker will be exposed. This work aims to evaluate the human health risk in the process of management of contaminated sites and the control measures influence in the work domain to mitigate the risk. On the basis of the results obtained, it was concluded that the use of control measures that would impair the routes of inhalation exposure could be considered the most effective in reducing the risk of exposure contaminated site workers. For this type of scenario, the use of control measures, both organizational and physical would be possible.
