The population increase and the consequent growth of the cities have demanded more electric constructions that make possible the electric energy to all the individuals, what caused a series of environmental impacts and the increase of the society concern about the environment. This present work aims to adapt an environmental impact weighting methodology in order to quantitatively classify the impacts identified in the implementation phase of the 525 kV transmission line (LT) Guaíba 3 - Nova Santa Rita C2. It was necessary to use the Environmental Impact Study, as well as, in parallel, the adapted use of the weighting methodology that had been used in an Environmental Impact Study of CELESC Distribuição SA, in this case, LT 138 kV Joinville SC - São Francisco do Sul (section 2). By assigning to the EIA object of study, values determined for the environmental impacts that were identified in the means of incidence (physical, biotic and socioeconomic), it became possible to classify them by relevance value (high, medium and low). As part of the impact validation process, the results were also compared with two other studies that use quantitative weighting of environmental impacts as evidence for adapting results. It was possible to identify different values between the comparative studies, obviously due to the characteristics of each intercepted region, but that could lead to the treatment of impacts more clearly and objectively, emerging control measures to compensate and mitigate some impacts identified in this work, which still left room for further studies on the subject. Therefore, it is concluded that the present work enabled the real knowledge of the environmental impacts from the transmission line implantation, allowing a clearer and more conclusive decision making process.
