Resumo: The objective of this research was to understand the reasons for air activities having numerous preventive methods and procedures with a main focus on the operational safety of their operations. It is an exploratory exploration of official documents such as ica's, mca's, as well as official websites of aviation regulatory bodies, regulatory agencies and official institutions that make up the system which involves aviation, such as icao (international civil aviation organization) or icao (international civil aviation organization), anac (national civil aviation agency), decea (department of airspace control) and cenipa (center for research and prevention of aeronautical accidents). A qualitative approach has been used, deepening and detailing in detail on aviation operational safety, seeking to clarify the reasons for the accomplishment of certain procedures that, for the most part, are unknown to those who use aviation and even to those who work directly or indirectly in aviation.

Trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória exploração de documentos oficiais como ica’s (instruções do comando da aeronáutica), mca’s (manuais do comando da aeronáutica), bem como sites oficiais de órgãos reguladores da aviação, de agências regulamentadoras e instituições oficiais que compõem o sistema que envolve a aviação, tais como icao (international civil aviation organization) ou oaci (organização internacional da aviação civil), anac (agência nacional de aviação civil), decea (departamento de controle do espaço aéreo) e cenipa (centro de investigação e prevenção de acidentes aeronáuticos).
