With the disorderly growth of the world's population, the natural resources rationalization is essential to ensure the development who satisfy present needs without compromising the future generations ability to meet their own needs. From this paradigm there is an upward search in the last years for the sustainable practices implantation in the buildings. This work, exploratory research, in a case study that aims to evaluate the implementation of a sustainable day care in the Pescaria Brava Municipality, starting from a standard project Pro childhood, applying several sustainable construction techniques in the project. With them are the reduction in water consumption, energy efficiency, the correct disposal of solid waste and the minimum use of land integrating with the natural environment. The implemented systems proved to be very effective in meeting the principles of sustainable construction and at the same time meeting the needs of teachers and students who will be benefited from the Children's Educational Center implementation, making the project proposed in here a source for public management consultation and the academic milieu with regard in the new day care construction in the country.
