One of the main features of the Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) is having compact teams, so it is common that they do not make use of models and standards aimed at improving processes. As a result, it causes problems during or postproduction software appear. This work presents a proposal to improve a small organizational unit process by applying the ISO / IEC 29110. It is modeled the current process then raising the critical points, prioritizing them together with the Manager, proposing and implementing best practices with reference to the ASPE / MSC approach. Among the critical points raised, elected traceability, which currently makes it necessary for the developer to explore the source code in order to ascertain any relationship entity versus functionality. This model makes the cast process and ends up characterizing the knowledge to more experienced developer and not the organization. In this context, the process was remodeled with the addition of a new activity - record the traceability document that will be accessible to developers. This action will promote agility and reliability in the development process. At first, the traceability mapping was performed via Excel spreadsheets. The implementation of this practice brought a perception of improvement in the process. Ultimately, it was suggested that the institution using Enterprise Architect will facilitate the maintenance of traceability.
