Integrative and complementary practices are increasingly helping with therapeutic resources, taking an expanded look at the health-disease process, as the damage caused by oral diseases increases with age, compromises quality of life and restricts individuals' daily activities. In this concept, it is understood that any organic emotional imbalance, can generate changes in all systems of the human body. Therefore, impacting the oral health of patients. In dentistry, this new modality expanded and gained strength after approval of the national policy of integrative and complementary practices by the Ministry of Health, in May 2006. The present work aims to conceptualize Integrative Dentistry, as well as list the Integrative and Complementary Practices (PIC) enabled by the CFO, describe the applications or indications of PICs in Dental treatment, know the medications used in PICs and present the benefits of using PIC as auxiliary therapy. The methodology used was the bibliographic one, because we searched for concepts inherent to the theme to support the research. The PICs chosen for research were: Acupuncture, Therapeutic Hypnosis, Homeopathy, use of Florals, Music Therapy, Chromotherapy, Laser Therapy, and ozoniotherapy. The results achieved, allow a positive analysis about the PICs, in relation to the accelerating conditions for the success of several treatments, significantly reduces pain, personal and professional insecurity with the Dentist, as well as promoting the patient's well-being during the procedures.
