The main objective of this assignment was to analyze the possibility of appealing the indictment in the event of the acquittal of the sentence council, under the bias of the principle of double degree of jurisdiction and the principle of sovereignty of the verdicts. As for the methodological outline, it was exerted for the level of depth, exploratory research, while the data collection was done through bibliographic and documentary methods. Initially, the birth and evolution of the Jury Tribunal in Brazil will be presented, in addition to objectively demonstrating the birth of sovereignty in this institute. Next, the concept of principle, it’s hierarchy, as well as the conflict between the principle of sovereignty of the Jury's verdicts and the principle of double jurisdiction will be presented. Finally, it will be analyzed whether the sovereignty of the Jury Tribunal is respected in the face of the annulment of its decisions as they are contrary to the evidence in the file. The results obtained from the jurisprudential and doctrinal analyzes carried out on the subject point out that it is not possible to appeal the accusation based on decisions because they are contrary to the evidence in the case file.
