The present work analyzed the training of pilots today, relating training with the technologies involved in airplane that automate flight, making a description of the systems that are present in airline aircraft that automate the functions of pilots. The history of automation was researched, also its concepts and importance, deepening into its development within aviation and its implementation within the cockpit together with its systems. Training on simulators was also analyzed, as well as the description of these devices and their classifications, in addition to the regulations around them. This survey is characterized as descriptive with a qualitative approach, since data collection is characterized as bibliographic and documentary research, since regulations about the training of pilots and their classes, articles, periodicals, reports and studies with national and international sources that deal with the advent of automation in aviation were researched. As far as the research concern, it was noticed the real need to make improvements in the process of training pilots in Brazil, due to specifics training related to systems that automate the flight are not required, only having as a requirement an operational training of the aircraft and emergencies situations.
