This work aims to create a computational instrument of low cost for the study of the trauma in children living in Florianópolis and surroundings. The trauma represents the most common cause of children’s mortality in the world, and it is not different in Brazil. However, there are few studies about this subject involving this region. For this reason, the staff of children’s Hospital Joana de Gusmão, in Florianópolis, started a statistical study aiming to outline the causes of the trauma and enumerate actions to prevent it. In order to analyze this database, the development of a specific framework become necessary, which will provide help to the staff in the survey, storage and subsequent analysis of the data. This new system, called MedGraph, was created with the purpose of being a simple and effective tool to evaluate the data; making tests fast and safe. The system utilizes graphical tools and web environment for better integration between the doctors involved with the project. The tool was developed and validated by the user and through all the steps needed to obtain a product able to meet the requirements of the medical staff researcher.(Não tem no Pergamun).
