Os nexos entre água, energia e alimentos no contexto dos riscos globais em 2016: uma análise das interações entre as seguranças alimentar, hídrica e energética

Resumo: This monographic study aims to analyze the interactions among the aspects involving food, water and energy security - referenced in this study as the nexus between water, energy and food - as well as the impact of global risks, with the Global Risks Report 2016 as search parameter. The research is characterized as literature, basic in nature and with a qualitative approach. The data collected show that water, energy and food are interdependent and indispensable resources for life, demanding a sustainable and intelligent management. The risk that these resources are submitted to are maximized by extreme weather events, involuntary human migrations and many other global risks, which among other phenomena, affect particularly the most vulnerable populations living mostly in less developed countries. It was concluded that only public policies, aligned with the private sector and civil society, led by the international community and decision makers can mitigate the overall risks presented by the Global Risks Report 2016 of the World Economic Forum.

A pesquisa caracteriza-se como bibliográfica, de natureza básica e com uma abordagem qualitativa. Os dados levantados revelam que a água, a energia e os alimentos são recursos interdependentes e indispensáveis para a vida, exigindo uma gestão sustentável e inteligente. O risco a que esses recursos são submetidos são maximizados pelos eventos climáticos extremos, pelas migrações humanas involuntárias e por muitos outros riscos globais que, além de outros fenômenos, afetam principalmente as populações mais vulneráveis que vivem quase sempre em países menos desenvolvidos.
