This project consists of the elaboration of a theoretical study and guidelines for a Community Center in Balneario’s neighbourhood, using community building as an element of articulation within the public space. The focus of this project is the importance of squares in community living. Other possible urban formations were taken into account for this research, and public, communal and private spaces were considered as dynamizers of life in the city. The research made it possible to analyse the architectural references that explain this project’s intentions, from the similarity between the locations to the design details, which later aided in the conceptualization of the building. After collecting data about the location and analysing the surrounding area, it was possible to identify the problems that exist in Balneário in order to structure a building for leisure and education, ensuring a higher vitality in the neighborhood
