Resumo: | Slopes can be formed by natural or artificial processes. Slope stability occurs on any sloping surface that limits a mass, and can be natural, such as slopes, or artificial, resulting from cutting or forming landfills. The present study was elaborated through a qualitative research, of the type Explanatory research, constituted from the period of April to June of 2018. The objective was to evaluate the mechanisms, techniques and procedures involved in the process of stabilization of slopes in civil works. It has been found that the main problems that can be found in road slopes are furrow erosion and differentiated erosion, longitudinal platform erosion, erosion linked to drainage works, surface disintegration, landslides due to sharp slope due to discontinuity, saturation of the massif, erosion evolution, problems in the foundation, problems in the body of the landfill, in the drainage line crossing, problems with the drainage system. Regarding the implementation costs of these systems, the solution on the ground was described as a low cost technique. The high resistance fabric also has an interesting cost benefit, just like the tidy stone. |

A estabilidade de taludes acontece em qualquer superfície inclinada que limita um maciço, e podem ser naturais, como as encostas, ou artificiais, resultantes de cortes ou da formação de aterros. O presente estudo foi elaborado através de uma pesquisa qualitativa, do tipo Pesquisa explicativa, constituído no período de abril a junho de 2018. O objetivo foi de avaliar os mecanismos, técnicas e procedimentos envolvidos no processo de estabilização de taludes em obras civis. Verificou-se que os principais problemas que podem ser encontrados nos taludes rodoviários são a erosão em sulcos e a erosão diferenciada, erosão em plataforma longitudinal, erosão ligada a obras de drenagem, desagregação superficial, escorregamentos devido à inclinação acentuada, devido à descontinuidade, à saturação do maciço, a evolução da erosão, a problemas na fundação, a problemas no corpo do aterro, na travessia de linha de drenagem, problemas com o sistema de drenagem. Com relação aos custos de implantação destes sistemas, a solução em terra armada foi descrita como uma técnica com custo baixo.
