The present work seeks to analyze how the materialization of the imaginary, happens (and if it happens), that is, the assimilation of constructive practices through the imaginary subject in Self-Help literature “Seja Foda!” and “A sútil arte de ligar o foda-se”. Both books bring examples of constructive practices. The work was resumed in three parts: for instance, a bibliographic research was carried out about the subjects covered and about the themes covered by this work: imaginary theory, Self-Help Literature, and the works “Seja Foda!” and “A sútil arte de ligar o foda-se”. In the second stage, a survey was carried out on the Instagram platform, through which a questionnaire was applied to know the sensation that the books transmit during and after the afore mentioned readings, and, finally, after the date collection were analyzed using Laurence Bardin and as well as from the perspective of imaginary research, by Arnaldo Chagas. The empirical hypotheses was corroborated that self-help books, through the materialization of the imaginary, help the individual to internalize constructive practices.
