Resumo: The present study of addresses the importance of cutting slope stability analysis, especially if this cut is performed without prior study or in accordance with the design. This study was carried out in the city of Alfredo Wagner, head region of the hydrographic basin of the Itajaí-Açu River, Caeté River microbasin, mountainous region and with susceptibility to landslides due to regions with high slopes. In this work, undisturbed samples were collected from the slope and particle size analysis was performed, determination of Atterberg consistency limits and density of solid particles. The mechanical characterization made by direct shear allowed to know the parameters of soil resistance (angle of friction and cohesion). With the help of Rocscience's Slide software, the parameters of the tests were launched in critical situations and we obtained the safest Safety Factor. This analysis made it possible to determine the stability of the slope and the possible safe construction of housing there.

This analysis made it possible to determine the stability of the slope and the possible safe construction of housing there.O conteúdo do trabalho aborda a importância da análise de estabilidade de talude de corte, principalmente se esse corte for executado sem estudo prévio ou em conformidade com o projeto. Esse estudo foi realizado no município de Alfredo Wagner região de cabeceira da bacia hidrográfica do Rio Itajaí-Açu, microbacia do Rio Caeté, região montanhosa, com suscetibilidade a escorregamentos por apresentar regiões de altos declives. Neste trabalho foram coletadas amostras indeformadas do talude e executadas análises granulométricas, determinação de limites de consistência de Atterberg e densidade de partículas sólidas. A caracterização mecânica feita por cisalhamento direto permitiu conhecer os parâmetros de resistência ao cisalhamento do solo (ângulo de atrito e coesão). Com auxílio do software Slide da Rocscience foram lançados os parâmetros dos ensaios em situações críticas e foram realizadas mudanças na geometria do maciço para obter o Fator de Segurança mais seguro.
